Longford Town will want to capitalise on any hint of complacency on the part of Liteks Lovech to give themselves any hope in tonight's UEFA Cup, qualifying round, second leg in Bulgaria.
Following their travails, or the lack of them, as they eventually arrived in Bulgaria, via London, yesterday afternoon following the cancellation of their charter flight on Tuesday, Longford's next obstacle is to try to overturn the 1-1 scoreline in favour of Liteks, courtesy of that away goal from the first leg.
However, Longford midfielder Stuart Byrne believes over-confidence on the part of Liteks can only help their seemingly insurmountable task.
"They probably think it's all over and they are going to walk away with it," said Byrne prior to the team's training session at the Liteks stadium last night. "If the first leg had finished 1-0 to us it might have been a different story. But the odds are stacked in their favour. They have the away goal and they are at home.
"But we have to go out and have a go at them. They will be very confident and they could be complacent knowing they have the cushion of that away goal. If they are, we hope we can punish them."
Boss Stephen Kenny is unlikely to tamper with his side. Keith O'Connor, scorer of Town's early goal in the first leg but suspended for the opening two league games, comes back in up front alongside Eric Lavine.
LONGFORD TOWN (probable): O'Brien; Murphy, McNally, Smith, W. Byrne; Kirby, Reynolds, S. Byrne, Prunty; O'Connor, Lavine.
