Colleges hurling/ Midleton CBS 3-8 Thurles CBS 0-16: Midleton CBS qualified to meet St Flannan's in the Dr Harty Cup final after a dramatic victory over a fancied Thurles CBS side in Fermoy on Saturday.
Trailing by two points in injury-time, corner forward Luke O'Farrell struck for his third goal to deny the Tipperary side.
O'Farrell pounced twice in the opening 20 minutes, but his goals weren't enough to help his side lead at half-time.
The school were 0-9 to 2-2 in front at the change of ends, thanks in the main to the exploits of Ciarán Clohessy and Pa Bourke.
Midleton had the better of the third-quarter exchanges with Finbarr Day's free-taking a major factor and they led by three points midway through the second half.
Back came Thurles to level matters with points from Bourke (2) and James Barry before Clohessy and Bourke scored to put them two points clear. They seemed set for another showdown with St Flannan's of Ennis until O'Farrell struck.
Longford defeated Offaly by 1-11 to 0-10 in the Leinster under-21 football championship on Saturday, while Kilkenny managed just one point to Wexford's 5-17 in the same competition.
