Hurling / Munster Cup / Semi-finals / Waterford IT 1-16 University of Limerick 2-3: Limerick took victory over Clare in the semi-final of the Waterford Crystal Munster Cup with mid fielder Donal O'Grady scoring the only goal of the game at the Gaelic Grounds, yesterday.
They will meet Waterford IT at the same venue next Sunday.
Limerick appeared to be coasting by the 35th minute when they built a commanding 1-10 to 0-4 lead, but Anthony Carmody had them worried when he sent over four points as the game entered the final quarter, and that was followed by points from Tony Griffin and Fergal Lynch.
Mark Keane's point took the pressure off the home team but Griffin and Fergal Lynch had the issue in the balance again, before Keane and O'Grady knocked over the insurance scores.
