Bray Wanderers ... 2 Glebe North ... 0Bray Wanderers won at the Carlisle Grounds last night, but, missing four key players, they struggled to kill off their opponents.
That said, the home side did not take long to carve out a lead and it came indirectly as a result of a well-struck free kick from Jason Byrne.
Byrne took the set piece from just outside the penalty area but goalkeeper Barry Andrews tipped it away. But from the subsequent corner, Keith Long picked out Michael Doohan, and the Bray captain picked his spot with a header on eight minutes to make it 1-0.
But Glebe North had their moments, and seven minutes before the break Stephen Healy almost deceived Matt Gregg with a chip that just cleared the crossbar.
Bray finally finished the job in injury time when Graham O'Hanlon found the back of the net.
