Challenge matches: A goal courtesy of Aidan O'Rourke 10 minutes into the second half proved decisive in Armagh's victory over Galway at the official opening of the new-look Pearse Stadium yesterday.
Things looked bleak for Armagh early on as Galway raced into a four point lead after just 15 minutes.
However, All-Ireland champions, Armagh, began to chip away at the Galway lead and points from the excellent Oisin McConville left the half-time score at Galway 0-9 Armagh 0-6.
The sides traded early points after the resumption but O'Rourke's goal was the defining moment of the half.

Galway 3-16 Kilkenny 3-16:
A storming last quarter from Galway assured a share of the spoils with All-Ireland champions Kilkenny at Pearse Stadium yesterday.
The sides were level at the break, on a scoreline of Galway 1-7 Kilkenny 0-10.
Kilkenny, though, began the second half in whirlwind fashion, with three consecutive goals.
Substitute Eddie Brennan began the goal scoring with a fine effort. Minutes later Henry Shefflin scored a second and when Charlie Carter scored a third it looked as if Kilkenny would win with ease.
However, Galway stormed back with goals from Kevin Broderick and Cathal Moore.
The last few moments saw each side trade points before finishing all square.
