Dublin Colleges SF A Final: Coláiste Eoin retained their title at O'Toole Park yesterday with full forward Barra Ó Ruairc inspiring the Stillorgan school to victory with a tally of 1-9.

He slotted over Coláiste Eoin's first score after four minutes only for Simon Hickey to fire past Coláiste Eoin goalkeeper Conchuir Ó Sluain on 15 minutes to help St Benildus to a 1-4 to 0-2 interval lead.

Coláiste Eoin began the second half with Conchúir Clintúin firing over a point from the right inside the first minute.

Ó Ruairc then landed successive 45s before cutting in from the end line and beating Conor Roe with a left-footed shot for his goal.

Benildus, however, refused to give up with Hickey shaking off a challenge before slotting over from a central position.

The turning of the game came with 10 minutes to go when Ó Ruairc sent over two points. He followed that up with three more efforts before Hickey sent over his second free of the game to keep Benildus in the game.

Coláiste landed another point from Luc Céitinn to leave five points in it before Mark Cahalan fired in a late goal for Benildus.
