Darragh Ó Sé has been cleared to play against Cork in next Sunday's All-Ireland football semi-final.
The Kerry captain, shown a red card in a club match last weekend, was cleared by his own county board on Saturday afternoon after a week of controversy and speculation.
A statement was released just before the Dublin-Donegal match, which stated:
"At the reconvened meeting of the General Purposes Committee of Kerry County Board this afternoon re the game between An Ghaeltacht and Austin Stacks, the clarification sought on the matters that required clarification was received.
"The committee has adopted the referee's report on the game and this means that Darragh Ó Sé is not suspended. There is no charge in the referee's report to warrant a suspension".
The decision, which will cause severe embarrassment to the GAA, was not unexpected.
