It has become a bit of a regular feature for 16 handicapper Eleanor O'Sullivan to appear in the winners' circle at Ballybunion over the past few weeks.

In the recent Lady Captain's Charity Open Day over the Cashen Course at the end of last month, O'Sullivan took the top prize with a 36 points' total to finish four ahead of Waterville's Maureen Creedon (12) who shot 32 points.

That win for O'Sullivan followed on her second place in the weekly singles competition three days previously, where her 29 points' total left her trailing behind winner Mary Stack (25) on 33 points. Ann O'Keeffe (22) claimed third place with 27 points.

But it wasn't long before Eleanor was back collecting prizes as she recorded the best gross score in the Listowel Arms Hotel Prize on the Old Course last week, an event won by Clare Hurley with 40 points.
