Johnny O'Sullivan of Killarney in a Ford Escort WRC will lead away the Subaru Imprezas of George Cullen (Galway) and Pat Elliott (Cavan) in Sunday's stage rally run out of Ardfert by the Kerry Motor Club. Also in the line-up are Anthony O'Halloran (Clare) in an Opel Manta 400, Jimmy Lambert (Clonmel) Ford Escort Mk.2 and Rory O'Connor (Mayo) Escort Cosworth.

Round three of the National Navigation Rally Championship will be run out of Piltown, Co Kilkenny, by the Carrick-On-Suir MC. With two straight wins Bones O'Connor and Paul Phelan hold an eight- point lead over Andy Mackarel and Liam Higgins. The 110 miles event over mostly secondary and lesser roads will start tomorrow night (20.00) and run well into Sunday morning.

Lawrence Gibson (Banbridge), driving a Metro 6R4, was the winner of the Motorsport Ireland Rallycross Championship, for which the awards were presented at a Dublin function on Tuesday. Paul Cullen (Carlow) Opel Corsa Gsi won the rallycar division.

A Service of Remembrance for Joey Dunlop will take place tomorrow in St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin, at 11am. Following the service, thousands of motorcyclists will ride out to the Skerries circuit, where Dunlop scored 17 race wins between 1976 and 1999. The rideout will raise funds for the Romanian Orphanages Fund and the Motor Cycle Union of Ireland Benevolent Fund.
