They led by six points at one stage before a David Goold penalty 11 minutes from the end brought them back into the contest, but Alan O'Sullivan's late point clinched victory.
Kerry led by 1-4 to 0-3 at half-time, the goal scored by O'Sullivan in the 20th minute from a John Paul Brosnan pass.
