MARCUS O'SULLIVAN won the Bermuda Festival Front Street mile in Hamilton last weekend but failed in his bid to pick up the £10,000 bonus for breaking the four minute mile barrier.

The prestigious four minute mark has never been attained on the Front Street course, which has two tight turns.

And in prevailing windy conditions, O'Sullivan had little chance of producing a course record breaking performance.

His winning time of four minutes 4.9 seconds beat Britain's Tony Whiteman and Glen Stewart, in second and third position respectively, by almost two seconds.
