OFFALY, the defending leinster minor hurling champions went the same way as their seniors and under-21's when they bowed out of the provincial championship at the semi-final stage against Wexford at yesterday evening's double header at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow.
In a sparkling game watched by 3,500, Offaly held the upper hand for 40 minutes. But the holders were undermined by the finishing power of Wexford full forward Rory Jacob who contributed 2-3 from play.
