The Scottish Premier League yesterday bowed to pressure from international players of both Rangers and Celtic and rescheduled the date of the next Old Firm game. The clash between the Glasgow clubs will now be played on March 8th at Celtic Park instead of February 23rd.
Swede Johan Mjallby, Norwegian Vidar Riseth and Dane Morten Wieghorst are all anxious to be involved with their countries in the run-up to Euro 2000, but did not want to miss the crucial league game for Celtic. Rangers pair Arthur Numan and Giovanni van Bronckhorst are also expected to be called up for Holland.
