Tyrone SFC semi-final/Omagh 2-7 Errigal 0-7: Omagh created a major shock last night when they sent Errigal Ciaran crashing out of the Tyrone Senior Foot Championship.
A semi-final replay win under the Carrickmore floodlights earned them a place in the decider for the first time since 1998. They have just four days to prepare for Sunday's county final against champions Carrickmore, but this was a victory they richly deserved.
Goals from Niall McSorley and Cathal McCarron early in each half laid the foundations for a stunning victory.
And it was master-minded by two former Errigal stars, Chris Quinn and Martin McCaffrey, on the brink of a major triumph in their first season as Omagh managers.
Omagh scorers: C McCarron 1-1 (1 free), N McSorley 1-0, J McMahon 0-4 (3 frees), C Starrs, C O'Donnell 0-1 each.
Errigal Ciaran scorers: E Gormley 0-2 (1 free), C Tierney 0-2, Peter Canavan 0-1 (free), P Quinn, Pascal Canavan 0-1 each.
