Despite Na Fianna's four-point win at Parnell Park on Saturday, there are doubts over whether the result will stand after it emerged that Na Fianna had once more surpassed the quota of replacements.

The introduction of Gerry Gray as a blood substitution for Stephen McGlinchey, their sixth substitution of the afternoon, means Na Fianna's fate will be decided by either the referee Gerry Grehan, or on foot of an official objection from Raheny which must be in by tomorrow.

Na Fianna's four-year reign as county champions looked to be in doubt and it took two late goals from Dublin forward Dessie Farrell to wipe out Raheny's advantage and give Na Fianna a disputed victory.

Na Fianna led 1-3 to 0-2 at the break with Pat McGeeney firing in the only goal of the half.

But the emergence of Raheny's two county players, David Henry and CiaráWhelan, turned things around after the break and the two teams were on level terms when Liam Eviston netted on 48 minutes to leave it at 1-6 each.

Ian Foley and Whelan then exchanged points before Donal Ryan and Colm Donegan put Raheny 1-9 to 1-7 in front.

Armagh captain Kieran McGeeney broke through the middle to set up the first of two goals for Farrell.

And victory was secured when Farrell followed up after Senan Connell fisted against the post.
