JIM BOLGER, who is running away with the numerical trainers title, should add to his impressive 67 winner tally with Osvaldo in the Glebe Handicap at Roscommon this evening.

Considering he was hampered over a furlong and a half out, Osvaldo did well to finish third behind Best Before Dawn and Sea Of Dreams (second at Tipperary yesterday) at Naas last month.

He is fancied to beat the consistent Gerrydardis who was beaten five and a half lengths by Calisar (who runs in the 7.00 race) at Galway.

Rhum Dancer, trained by Dermot Weld, should have the winning of the first three year old hurdle of the season, the Sallymount Maiden Hurdle, judged on his four length second to All The Vowels at Ballinrobe.

. John Burke has succeeded Tony Manners as stable jockey to Northumberland trainer Tony Lamb, it was announced yesterday. The 26 year old Ulsterman had been associated with Sue Bramall's team - in Britain and more recently in Ireland - for almost six years.

Mrs Bramall moved her string from North Yorkshire to Co Wexford following this year's Grand National, in which Antonin finished eighth, and she was followed over to Ireland by Burke in June. But the rider feels he will gain more rides by returning to Britain.

. One time Derby hope Nash House is set to return from a three month layoff in the Group Three Rose of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock on Saturday.

Peter Chapple Hyam has earmarked this hot looking 10 furlong test as the comeback race for his well regarded son of Nashwan.

Nash House was touted as a Derby prospect in the spring of the strength of a tall home reputation.

But he was found to be suffering from a virus after finishing unplaced when favourite for the Dante Stakes at York in May.

Now the colt is ready for action again, and Chapple Hyam is hopeful of a good run.

"All being well he will run at Haydock. He is well in himself and has been working very well. We are very pleased with the horse.

"He was very sick after York and lost a lot of weight. It was frustrating but it's just one of those things."

If things go according to plan on Saturday Nash House could be stepped up to Group One company for his next outing.

"I would think the English Champion Stakes or the Arc could be on the agenda for him. But Saturday looks a hot race."

Also among the entries for Saturday's race include Derby fourth Glory of Dancer, Henry Cecil's Bal Harbour and the Michael Stoute pair Desert Shot and Aristokrati.
