Some of Ireland's most talented young cricketers will play with and against Australian fast bowler Patrick Cummins as he makes his return to competitive action following injury.

The 20-year-old Test player will line out for the Northern Ireland Cricket Academy in their game against the MCC in Carrickfergus tomorrow before switching sides to play in the MCC side in their game against Ireland under-19 at the same venue on Friday.

Cummins has been out of action since last October with a stress fracture in his back, but was included in the Australian 'A' squad as a non-playing member for the victory over Ireland at Stormont. Cummins will play alongside Mark Adair, Rishi Chopra and Alistair Shields in the NICA team, and will also play against the trio as they line up for Ireland's under-19s. Emmet Riordan
