Fionnuala Britton will miss next weekend's Great Ireland Run in Dublin after deciding to skip the event due to fatigue.
The two-time European cross country champion has withdrawn from the 10km race in the Phoenix Park in order to focus on her preparations for the track season.
Britton last raced competitively at the World Cross Country championships on March 24th, finishing a creditable 14th to equal her best ever performance in the event.
