Competition begins this Wednesday morning at the Tattersalls international horse trials in Co Meath with the first session of dressage and continues until late Sunday afternoon when the show jumping phase of the featured CCI3* class takes place.

In the interim, there will be a full day of dressage tomorrow, with the action being split on Friday between two and three-star dressage and the cross-country phase for all one-star classes including those for junior and pony riders. The main cross-country action will be staged over the Ian Stark-designed tracks on Saturday.

For pure show jumping enthusiasts, the two-star Mullingar international horse show opens on Friday and continues until Bank Holiday Monday. There will be international jumping on all four days, concluding with the Grand Prix on Monday. The Irish Sport Horse Studbook series caters for the top young Irish show jumping horses on Saturday and Sunday.
