Born in London, her grandfather hailing from Armagh, O’Reilly became Ireland’s first female gymnastics representative at the Olympics when qualifying at the Rio test event earlier this year. She also finished 98th out of 192 at last year’s World Championships, which earned her a place in that last qualifying event. Having just completed her A levels, she has previously represented Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and was a three-time silver medallist at the Northern European Championships. O’Reilly trains out of the Europa Gymnastics club in London and is coached by Sam James.
