Singer Bruce Springsteen’s daughter Jessica has made senior US selection for this week’s Dublin Horse Show international classes.

She will make her debut in the RDS. Her father has often performed his shows there too.

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind for the New Jersey rider who won a class in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands, last week and gave an outstanding performance the previous week to finish in the money at the Chantilly Global Champions Tour Grand Prix near Paris.

Jessica, who trains with US rider Laura Kraut, bought Vindicate from British team gold medallist Peter Charles after the London Olympics, and this is one of her top mounts for the Dublin Horse Show.

In addition, she added Lisona, a mare bred in the Enfield, Co Meath. The horse was bred by Capt John Ledingham and was on the Aga Khan Nations Cup winning team that included US-based Sligo rider Darragh Kerins.

An Olympic rider in the making, she told friends in Chantilly she was looking forward to the Dublin show where four-time Olympic gold medallist Ludger Beerbaum is also on the starter list.
