Mark Kyle – Equestrian sport

The most experienced of the Irish riders, Kyle travels to his third Olympic Games, having competed in Athens in 2004 and at London 2012. He placed fifth in the team eventing event at Greenwich. He has also been to two World Equestrian Games, in 1998 and 2010, and three times at the European Championships, in 2003, 2005 and 2011. His best championship result is 17th from the European Championships in 2003, staged at Punchestown. A former pupil of St Andrew's College in Booterstown, Dublin, Kyle rides in Rio on Shelagh and Richard Morley's horse Jemilla.
