Sealed his second Olympic qualification at the Paavo Nurmi Games in Turku, Finland where he ran a big season's best performance of 48.39, his quickest time since winning a European bronze medal in 2018 in Berlin. Back on the biggest stage five years after he finished in fourth place at the Rio Olympics in 2016 in his Irish record 47.97 seconds.
