Joan Lewis and Gabrielle Reilly have both proved to be top of their class at Skerries over the past couple of weeks, with back-to-back wins in their weekly singles competitions.
Lewis, a 12 handicapper, was victorious in Class One last week with a score of 36 points, while Reilly (45) was three points better off, on 39, to win Class Three. The previous week both had finished top of their respective classes as well. Lewis won with a 2up total, while Reilly finished two down in the "v par" event to win her class.
And there was almost a third "double" winner in recent weeks. Last week's Class Two winner Liz Williams (28) - who shot 36 points - had finished second the previous week, losing out on victory to Mary Grimes (29) who won with a very impressive 4-up.
