DEAN WINDASS has become the oldest goalscorer in Hull's history after he was credited with the Tigers' equaliser in their 2-2 draw with Portsmouth last month.
The strike had originally been credited as a Noe Pamarot own goal after both the Pompey defender and Windass had gone for the same ball in the 89th minute of the Premier League game at Fratton Park on November 22nd.
However, the Premier League's dubious goals panel have concluded that 39-year-old Windass was, in fact, the scorer.
It was the former Sheffield United and Bradford player's first goal in the Premier League this season and the first time he has scored in the top flight since 2002, while with Middlesbrough.
However, Xabi Alonso has had his winning goal for Liverpool at Chelsea on October 26th taken away by the panel.
The first-half goal ended Chelsea's 86-game unbeaten home league record and put Liverpool three points clear at the top of the Premier League.
The Spaniard's shot had deflected off Jose Bosingwa and into the net leaving Blues goalkeeper Petr Cech wrong-footed to inflict the first defeat on the team under Luiz Felipe Scolari. However, the panel have now credited the strike as a Bosingwa own goal.
Similarly, Everton's Steven Pienaar has had his winning strike against Tottenham last month chalked off.
The midfielder found the back of the net when his shot cannoned in off Vedran Corluka in the only goal of the game at White Hart Lane as Harry Redknapp suffered his first loss as Spurs boss on November 30th.
Instead, Corluka has been credited with an own goal.
