The Dublin side took an early lead through Denis McCarthy but with Conor Walsh in sparkling form the winners took control.
Walsh hit three points and managed a well-taken goal just before the break to give the winners a 1-4 to 0-2 lead at that stage.
St Mark's had the upper hand for most of the second half but fell further behind on the restart when Walsh converted a free-kick.
Barry Kennedy secured four points during the Tallaght side's attempted recovery but they were unable to close the gap and Newbridge managed two more scores before the end.
