THE replay of the Limerick SH championship final failed to live up to expectations as Patrickswell, the holders, cruised to an emphatic win their 15th since 1965.

Adare, who grabbed an injury time draw a week ago, had the benefit of the breeze in the first half and they led by five points to two after 17 minutes. However, Gary Kirby, who scored 3-9 in the drawn game, scored two points and Alan Purcell another to help Patrickswell lead by 0-6 to 0-5 at half time.

The second half was a one sided affair as Patrickswell got completely on top. They finally put the game out of reach after 48 minutes with a Kirby goal. Further points from substitute John McDermott and by Kirby crowned their victory. Kirby contributed 1-6 to the tally this time.
