National League, Premier Division/ Sligo Rovers 1 St Patrick's Athletic 1: Vinny Perth preserved St Patrick's Athletic unbeaten record with a last-gasp equaliser at the Showgrounds on Saturday night.

All of the action in a match that failed to sparkle was packed into a dramatic three minutes of second-half stoppage time.

Seán Connors' side appeared to have the points wrapped up when Keith Foy tucked away a 91st-minute penalty awarded after John Frost tussled with Adam Hughes.

But the never-say-die Saints continued to press and while Sligo were intent on getting the referee's attention before bringing on a sub, the visitors kept focusing on the play. With less than a minute of added time remaining the Inchicore men forced a corner kick which substitute Alan Reilly floated into a crowded goalmouth. Panic ensued in the Reds' rearguard and amidst the confusion Perth got the vital touch.
