You may - or may not - have read that Ian Wright was demanding an apology from Colchester United last week after their supporters gave his wife a bit of a hard time when she was watching him play for Burnley against Colchester in a division two league match. Colchester responded by sending a bunch of flowers to Mrs Wright and offering their heartfelt apologies for any offence caused. What exactly was chanted in her direction? Over to Football 365: "Not to put too fine a point on it, they gave him - and his generously proportioned wife - a hell of a time: `Missus Wright, Wright, Wright . . . Full Of Pies, Pies, Pies'." Lovely.
