Portlaoise 0-16 Stradbally 1-5:PORTLAOISE'S DRIVE for five in a row is still very much alive after they overcame Stradbally in an entertaining game at O'Moore Park yesterday.

Stradbally took the lead with a well-taken goal from midfielder Darren Maher. Portlaoise replied with three points leaving the half time score 1-3 to 0-6.

Portlaoise introduced Australian Rules player Zach Tuohy at the break, but the sides were level with 20 minutes remaining. But Portlaoise hit six points without reply and could afford the luxury of a missed penalty when Robert Kelly denied Paul Cahillane.
