Portmarnock proved to be the top dogs in the Irish Association of Golf Club Secretaries' recent outing to Baltray. The North Dublin club had a comfortable winning margin over their nearest rivals Knockanally.

Portmarnock secured the top prize with 94 points for the four-man team event, with Knockanally seven points adrift on 87, with Portmarnock's near neighbours Malahide claiming third with 85 points.

The winning four-man team from Portmarnock comprised captain Vincent Sex, professional Joey Purcell, greenkeeper Karl Mooney and secretary manager John Quigley.
