A goal five minutes from the finish helped Nire capture their fourth Waterford senior title at Dungarvan yesterday.
The sides were level on four occasions in the second half of a delicately-balanced tie before a Nire goal in the 55th minute turned the game their way. Kilrossanty's Tony Kirwan was caught in possession by the Nire's Pat Walsh and a brilliant interpassing movement ended when Bobby Power blasted to the net for the decisive score.
