On-fire Michael Owen will have to swap the Riviera for the Reebok tonight as Liverpool return to the real world of achieving their Premiership goal.
That is, of course, if boss Gerard Houllier decides to maintain the workload on a player described by Bayern Munich chief Ottmar Hitzfeld, after Owen's Super Cup man of the match display, as "world class".
But Owen, with seven goals in four games this season and 20 in his last 16 club matches, believes Liverpool can now make their mark, not only on Europe, but also the Premiership.
He says: "It's my dream, not only to win the Premier League, but to win the European Cup as well. Those are the targets we have set ourselves and I believe they are now achievable.
"I'd love to think that we can go on from here and contest the Premiership and the Champions League. We have been waiting to play at the very top for the last four or five seasons, and finally we have got there."
These are goals shared by manager Gerard Houllier, who must also turn his attention from claiming silverware in the south of France to the more humble surroundings of top-flight upstarts Bolton Wanderers, the new boys still unbeaten on their return to the big league.
Houllier claims he will field injury-dogged Steven Gerrard. "All he needs is matches, I realise the England situation and will take it into account. If he can play, he will play," he said.
Owen can be forgiven for dwelling on the Champions League in what could become the biggest season of his life.
He said: "The UEFA experience last year should help us in Europe, we have been away to some very good teams and managed excellent results on the road. But maybe it's a bit early to say we can win the Champions League, but we would certainly love to do really well at that level this season.
"Outside World Cups and European Championships, it's the best so we are all very excited about the season."
