Laois v Derry

Saturday, Breffni Park, 7pm

Laois have named the same team as their Leinster final defeat to Dublin. Only problem there is Darren Rooney sustained cruciate ligament damage in that game so he isn't around. Aidan Fennelly will come in at corner back with Cathal Ryan likely to switch to full back. Tom Kelly will have three on his back but can be found wherever the action is most intense. Brian "Beano" McDonald is injured but Kevin Fitzpatrick is expected to start.

In short, ignore the team printed in the programme. Derry are awaiting the availability of hamstrung corner back Michael McGoldrick.

Derry to keep on rolling on the premise their qualifier record outshines that of Laois.

DERRY: B Gillis; M McGoldrick, K McCloy, G O'Kane; L Hinphey, SM Lockhart, F McEldowney; F Doherty, J Conway; B McGoldrick, P Murphy, E Muldoon; C Devlin, P Bradley, C Gilligan.

Monaghan v Donegal

Saturday, Omagh, 7pm

What happened to Donegal? Two months back they were being promoted as a team capable of winning the All-Ireland. They squeezed past Armagh in a gritty Ulster opener before being emptied by Tyrone. Monaghan also lost to the same opposition in the provincial final but coped more impressively with the pace of Mickey Harte's team.

If Donegal regain the form they look capable of progressing.

Colm McFadden's return to the Donegal full forward line should ensure Vincent Corey is retained at full back for Monaghan. Expect plenty of Ulster mauling.

MONAGHAN: S Duffy; D Mone, V Corey, D McArdle; D Morgan, G McQuaid, JP Mone; E Lennon, D Clerkin; S Gollogly, R Woods, D Freeman; C Hanratty, P Finlay, T Freeman.

DONEGAL: P Durcan; N McGee, P Campbell, K Lacey; N McCready, B Monaghan, F McGlynn; K Cassidy, N Gallagher; R Kavanagh, C Bonner, R Bradley; C McFadden, M Murphy, B Devenney.

Referee: J McKee (Armagh)
