Bohemians v Monaghan United Dalymount Park, 7.45Stephen Kenny intends to use this game to have a look at the some of the members of his squad who have spent most of their time on the sidelines since his arrival and so Ken Oman and Gary O'Neill are among the irregulars in line for a start.
Oman will come in for Colin Hawkins who, says Kenny, needs to rest a groin problem that will require surgery at the end of the season, while O'Neill looks set to replace Trevor Molloy in attack. Stephen Caffrey's foot injury creates another vacancy and, with the manager keen to start both Paul Byrne and Tony Folan on the flanks, Fergal Harkin will be either rested or moved into the centre.
United boss Bobby Browne could doubtless do with his opposite number's problems but finding an opportunity to have a look at his options isn't something that troubles the management team up at Gortakeegan.
There are rarely all that many options up at United and the suspension of John Carroll as well as injuries to Robbie Brunton, Trevor Vaughan and Jonathon King combined with the unavailability of Declan Field and John Lester - both on loan from Dalymount - means that "a few of the youngsters" are likely to be thrown in tonight at Dalymount.

St Patrick's Ath v Bray Wanderers Richmond Park, 7.45
The last time they met here at Inchicore, Wanderers put Pat Dolan's side out of the cup but the home side will be determined to gain revenge this evening as they try to bolster their challenge at the top of the table.
Colm Foley (broken toe) looks set to miss out, while leading scorer, Mbabazi, is reported to be struggling with an ankle strain.
However, there is better news in the shape of Liam Kelly's return.
The St Patrick's striker - who has been out since before Christmas with a broken ankle - has apparently signed up for another three years at Richmond Park and he could return to first-team action this evening after coming through a full 90 minutes action with the reserves last weekend without any problems.
Colm Tresson may be missing from the Bray side for the important away game, with the influential Wanderers player having picked up a hamstring problem in the cup replay against Bohemians.
Jody Lynch (calf) is also a doubt as is Paul Keegan (groin), and Maurice Farrell is still unavailable.
