Sailing NewsIn the aftermath of Ireland's Commodore's Cup defeat in Cowes last weekend, Adrienne Cahalan, a professional ocean-navigator, added her voice to the debate about the Royal Ocean Racing Club's stewardship of the event.

The France Blue team emerged overall winners though questions were raised about the final race, the offshore, and the inshore race in that the three boats of the winning team failed to sail the proper course.

Writing on scuttlebutteurope.com yesterday, the Australian, who sailed on Ireland Green's Blondie, stated: "I for one will not ever sail this regatta again while the current race management is in place, nor would I recommend any owner to consider doing so while it remains at this low level of management."
