Champions League, quarter-finals, second leg: Coach Guus Hiddink admits a place in the semi-finals of the Champions League would compliment what looks set to be a perfect season for the club.

The Dutch side are preparing for tonight's s visit of Lyon, after a 1-1 first-leg draw in France last week gave Hiddink's men an ideal platform to book a place in the last four of Europe's premier club competition.

With the domestic title and Dutch Cup also within their reach, Hiddink acknowledges it could be a season to remember for the Eindhoven club. "The championship is a near certainty and still we are playing on three fronts," he said. "The national cup and the Champions League can make it a special season, and while I am satisfied, now I want more. This team is able to reach the semi-finals.

"However, we will have to fight all the way. The French team plays the same way as we do. They are difficult to beat. For us it is very important to keep a clean sheet.

"Nevertheless, it is not easy to play for a 0-0 score. So we must play for the victory."

Hiddink has already tasted European Cup success with PSV back in 1988, with the club also seeing off another French team in the quarter-finals. However, Hiddink is reluctant to draw on comparisons. "Times have changed and it is difficult to compare these seasons," he continued.

"In 1988 we also played the quarter-finals against a French team. Against Bordeaux we had a 1-1 draw in France, like last week in Lyon. In 1988 we drew at home 0-0.

"With that result we will reach the semi-finals. But it will be a very tough game."

Hiddink has no injury worries with Andre Ooijer, Ji-Sung Park and Johann Vogel all fit to play.

Lyon, who are just one win away from winning their fourth consecutive French title, were frustrated in the home leg, but goalkeeper Gregory Coupet is confident of victory.

"Everyone is convinced that we have a superior team and that they (PSV) will not be unbeatable at home," said Coupet. "There is a real determination in Lyon and we are very confident about what we can achieve."

Striker Pierre-Alain Frau, who did not play in the first leg but scored both goals in Lyon's 2-2 draw with Nantes on Saturday, believes the PSV defence can be breached. "If I play tomorrow I am convinced that there is a way to unsettle the PSV defence and find the back of the net," he said.
