MOTOR SPORT:Wins don't come any closer than Subaru driver Andrew Purcell's one-second winning margin over reigning champion Stephen Moore in the recent opening round of the Hankook National Forestry Rally. Moore virtually dominated last year's forestry series and is campaigning a new Ford Focus WRC this year but has not entered Sunday's second round.
Former National Stages Champion Ray Breen opened his campaign with a third-place finish in his Focus WRC, finishing in front of Denis Cronin (Subaru) and John Reid (Toyota Corolla) followed by a quartet of Mitsubishi Group N drivers in the order of Brian Lawler, Colin Britton, Patrick Keenan and Seán Heaney.
