Moorfield had a runaway 3-16 to 1-7 win over Kilcock in the Kildare senior football championship semi-final replay at Newbridge yesterday to set up a county final against rivals Sarsfields.
Moorefield never looked back after Cian O'Neill grabbed a goal in the 20th minute. The winners struck for six unanswered points towards the end of the half to lead by 1-12 to 1-3 at half-time.
There was no way back for Kilcock after Mark Sexton got Moorefield's second goal in the 34th minute and a third followed later in the half from Brian McGrogan.

Meanwhile, Conor Fitzgerald ensured that Adare remain in line for a remarkable double in the Limerick senior football championships. With the hurlers already through to the final, they were joined by the footballers at the weekend following a shock 1-9 to 1-7 win over the 2001 champions Drom-Broadford.
County under-21 hurling star Fitzgerald was the hero, scoring all but two points of his side's tally.
