DIGEST:SUNSHINE TOUR: Defending champion Louis Oosthuizen gave a new meaning to the term runaway winner when he captured the Telkom PGA at Country Club Johannesburg yesterday by 14 shots with a fabulous 28-under-par 260 aggregate.

This is the biggest 72-hole winning margin in the history of the Sunshine Tour, which came into existence in 1967.

Oosthuizen, who closed with a seven-under 65 on the immaculately groomed Woodmead course, was flirting with another record as he came down the stretch.

The biggest victory in relation to par in the history of the Sunshine Tour was Mark McNulty's 29-under 259 in the Royal Swazi Sun Pro-Am at Royal Swazi Sun (a much easier course than Woodmead) in 1987, a 72-hole score equalled by David Frost en route to a 21-under-par victory in the 1994 Lexington PGA at Wanderers although that was on a par-70 layout.
