Kehoe Cup Final: Meath 1-15 Wicklow 0-11 The Meath hurlers won their first trophy under new manager John Hunt when outscoring reigning champions Wicklow at Páirc Tailteann, Navan.Both sides depended mainly on dead-ball situations for scores and 10 of the winners' points were struck from frees with Seán Reilly converting six and Nicky Horan - who was a half-time substitute - sending over four.
The home side got away to a flying start to put 1-1 on the board in the opening two minutes. After Reilly hit the first of his eight points, Charlie Keena finished to the net following a delivery into the goalmouth by Neville Reilly.
Meath were never behind after that and led by 1-8 to 0-7 at the break. The standard and temperature dropped in the second half.
