OFFALY SFC SEMI-FINALS:RHODE AND Clara will meet again in the county final on Sunday, October 14th at OConnor Park, Tullamore, following their respective wins at the weekend.
Rhode claimed a 0-17 to 2-7 victory over Tullamore in the first semi-final, with eight points from Niall McNamee.
Rhode led 0-9 to 1-5 at the break, the goal coming from Shane Dooley in the 4th minute.
Shaun Martin’s goal put just one point between the sides with six minutes remaining, but Rhode held on and added three further points from Mark Dunne, Conor McNamee and James McPadden.
In the other semi-final, Clara got the better of Edenderry and revenge for last years final defeat with a 1-13 to 2-7 win.
Clara led 0-8 to 1-3 at the break, the goal a well-taken effort by Derek Kelly.
Edenderry got a second goal through Daniel Nolan after the break, but Ross Brady found the net at the other end with five minutes to go to put the Clara men in the final for the fourth year in a row.
