Hamilton Ricard guaranteed Middlesbrough's place in the Premiership with a breathtaking double against Wimbledon. Ricard was out of the blocks with the first of his double after just 31 seconds. In the eighth minute, Gianluca Festa beat Sullivan with a diving header for Boro's second. Ricard then scored his 17th goal this term and his fourth in four games with another perfectly executed finish after 29 minutes. Carl Cort volleyed home past Mark Schwarzer for Wimbledon's 75th-minute consolation goal.
