Racing News and previewMichael Kinane is set to move his attention across the Irish Sea to Goodwood on Saturday, where he will be reunited with the Sussex Stakes runner-up Nayyir.
The Gerard Butler-trained horse is being aimed at the Group Two Totesport Celebration Mile over the same course and distance on which he was just beaten in the Group One Sussex.
Nayyir failed by just a neck to Soviet Song and is one of the leading fancies on what is one of his favourite tracks. The horse has twice won the Lennox Stakes over seven furlongs there.
Kinane, who won the Mile on Among Men seven years ago, could also be engaged by Butler for one of his two entries in the Listed March Stakes, Compton Bolter and Jagger.
Before that the Irish champion jockey will complete the four-day festival at Tralee this afternoon and he looks a significant booking for Albrighton in the two-mile handicap.
Kinane has a fine record when teaming up with Noel Meade and, crucially, Albrighton has a good career record when faced with testing conditions.
He first announced that in Ireland when streaming through in a handicap at Sligo two years ago and followed that up off a 15lb higher mark at this festival just weeks later.
That win came off a mark just 1lb lower than he has now but even though he hasn't started since a Punchestown chase in April, Albrighton's proven liking for soft ground is a big plus.
The danger could be the veteran Ballygowan Beauty, who was very unsuited to the ground at the Galway Festival but should be much happier on the soft.
Aidan O'Brien, who won here on Tuesday when Euphrates fought through the muck, has decided to let Falstaff take his chance off joint-topweight in the Premier Nursery and the entry alone looks a tip in itself.
The handicapper judged Falstaff's maiden success at Tipperary last week to be worth a mark of 85 and while the runner-up that evening, Fuensanta, didn't boost the form yesterday, the O'Brien runner looked to have raced quite green.
Brogue Lanterns and the Gowran winner Shadow Ash renew hostilities while Premier Dane drops in class from the Phoenix Stakes. But Falstaff looks the most interesting contender.
Just five line up for the Denny Gold Medal Handicap Chase, where the ground makes the 2½ miles seem a lot longer.
That might not be ideal for the Arthur Moore duo but Mount Kimble does get a lot of weight from the topweight Ballyamber and Danny Howard's claim could end up counting for a lot.
Treculiar was a Killarney winner on soft ground so should be hard to beat in the novice hurdle while Dusty Diamond had placed form on heavy going last year and gets weight from Monjoyou in the Havasnack.
