RACING/Previews: Christy Roche can launch a successful raid at Warwick today, with Risk Accessor looking the pick in the day's showcase event, the Michael Page Finance Chase.

Roche sends the eight-year-old for the 2½-mile event which carries a generous purse of £40,000-added.

Risk Accessor seems to be coming back to a bit of form after a so-far indifferent season. He finished second last time in a relatively average event at Clonmel but he probably needed a bit of a boost after tackling some high-level contests.

His ninth behind Cyfor Malta in the Thomas Pink Gold Cup at Cheltenham was not as disappointing as it sounds as he came up against some top level horses and the Cotswold track does not seem to suit this horse at all.

But taken on his fourth in the ultra-competitive Galway Plate last July Risk Accessor will take all the beating here.

Paul Nicholls won the Michael Page International Kingmaker Novices' Chase last season with Armaturk and he can repeat that success with Vol Solitaire. The five-year-old holds entries for both the Irish Independent Arkle Challenge Trophy Chase and the 131st Year of The Cheltenham Grand Annual Chase Challenge Cup, so this would seem to be a final prep run ahead of either target.

Although Vol Solitaire would not be the stable's leading hope he is nonetheless a useful performer in his own right as he proved when easily accounting for Golden Alpha in a two-mile novice event at Cheltenham.

French import Tanikos can make a winning debut for Henderson in the Michael Page International Juvenile Novices' Hurdle.

The four-year-old holds an entry in the JCB Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival so the master of Seven Barrows will be looking for a good run here to see whether he is ready for his Festival date. Tanikos already has a hurdles win in France to his credit and he can make it two wins from two runs here.

At Southwell, Ampoule can defy a rise in the weights to take the day's televised event, the Betfair.com Early Prices The Evening Before Handicap. Clive Brittain's four-year-old provided Kieren Fallon with his first winner since his return to action earlier in the month and the pair can team up for success again here.

Although Ampoule's win came in what was only a moderate mile and a half maiden but the style of his five-length success showed there was a bit more in the locker.
