Roscommon 0-8 Clare 0-8: Roscommon snatched a draw at Hyde Park yesterday as Gary Cox converted a 69th-minute free. Clare led by a point with one minute left when Frankie Dolan dropped a 45-metre free towards the goalmouth. As the ball fell referee Colm Reilly gave a free to the bafflement of Clare. Cox pointed the free but one minute later he received a yellow card.

Clare's Rory Donnelly opened the scoring from a free in the second minute. John Carleton equalised two minutes later as play became scrappy. Points from Shane Daniels, Michael O'Shea and David Russell stretched Clare's lead to three points.

Roscommon substitute Francie Grehan powered over a point in the 33rd minute and Jonathan Dunning cut Clare's lead to one point on half-time.

Dunning levelled from a free just after half-time but Clare regained the lead with a point from Denis Russell. Clare's Mark O'Connell was sin-binned in the 45th minute followed by Conor Whelen 10 minutes later but Eoin Glynn still doubled their lead after 48 minutes. Dolan then landed two points from frees to bring the teams level.
