NFL DIVISION THREE Roscommon1-10 Antrim 1-6:ROSCOMMON could afford to hit 12 wides and still gain a comfortable win over a disjointed Antrim team at Hyde Park. The visitors got off to a dream start when Michael Magill scored a goal after just 50 seconds. However, after an exchange of points between Paddy Cunningham and Darren McDermott, Roscommon then took over.

Roscommon manager Des Newton dropped star forward Donie Shine and Cathal Cregg and David Keenan took over the leadership roles in attack. Following points from Cregg and Ger Heneghan, the centre-forward set up Conor Devaney for a well-taken goal in the 12th minute. Further Roscommon points followed from McDermott (two), Kevin Higgins and Ian Kilbride while Cunningham and Michael McCann replied for Antrim.

Points from McDermott and Cathal Dineen stretched the lead to six by the 52nd minute. Cunningham converted a 55th-minute free but later missed a penalty chance for Antrim.
