LEINSTER SCHOOLS' JUNIOR CUP: Cistercian Roscrea proved far too strong for St Columba's College in the second-half at Naas yesterday.

The Dublin school took an early lead when outhalf Ian McKinlay coverted a penalty but it was to be their only score of the game.

Roscrea replied with a try from Niall Harney, and Gareth O'Donnell's conversion gave them a 7-3 interval lead.

The winners dominated for most of the second-half and Matthew Quinlivan crossed for their second try in the corner after O'Donnell provided the final pass.

There were further tries for Roscrea from Harney and John Tierney with O'Donnell adding a conversion as Roscrea finished strongly.
