Neville Maxwell (Age: 30; Event: Lightweight Four) - The Galwayman was part of the lightweight four which finished fourth in the 1996 Games, and rowing with Tony O'Connor in the lightweight pair he has two silver (1996, '97) and two bronze medals ('94 and '99) in World Championships.
Tony O'Connor (Age: 31; Event: Lightweight Four) - A member of the lightweight four which took fourth in the 1996 Olympic Games and also shared a boat with Maxwell for World Championship silver (1996, '97) and bronze ('94 and '99) in the lightweight pair.
Gearoid Towey (Age: 23; Event: Lightweight Four) - Won gold as a single sculler in the Nations Cup (the World Under-23 championships) in 1996, and was a reserve for the lightweight four in the 1996 Olympics. Won bronze in the '99 World Championships as part of a lightweight quadruple scull. NEAL BYRNE (Age: 24; Event: Lightweight Four) - From Inchicore in Dublin, the 24-year-old won two bronze medals in the World Championships ('97 and '99) in lightweight quadruple sculls. His Olympic debut.
