The Republic of Ireland managment team were involved in a collision on the M50 in Dublin on Tuesday evening.

Manager Martin O’Neil and his assistant Roy Keane were travelling in a vehicle when, according to the FAI, it was rear ended.

The association said the two men had returned to the team hotel and had been seen by the team doctor.

Neither of the men are understood to have been injured in the incident.

Gardaí reported delays on the M50 northbound between Blanchardstown and Finglas junctions earlier following a collision but the scene is now clear.

O’Neill and Keane are in Dublin ahead of the Republic’s crucial European Championships qualifying game with Scotland on Saturday.
